Seeing the world
as it actually is.

Thirteen years of bearing witness: fire festivals, working harbours, village life in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands, charitable projects and cultural events across two continents. Documentary work that prioritises truth over aesthetics, and presence over technique.

The approach was formed in the newsroom: years as a photojournalist at The Witness, and freelance assignments for The Times, City Press and You magazine. The images that come from that training are not photographs of people. They are photographs with them.
